The Trident™ Difference

The new Massey Ferguson processor improves crop quality, reduces power consumption and is easy to customize to meet the demands of different crops and conditions.

The V-Cool system is far from being the only innovation on the new Massey Ferguson 9540 and 9560 combines. Another advancement is the new Trident processor, which offers gentle, 360-degree threshing of today’s heavier crop and denser yields.

This original Massey Ferguson design incorporates a multi-flow housing, which allows for three zones of entry into the segmented element rotor. This pattern feeds the rotor evenly and maximizes crop flow, allowing for more even processing and improved crop quality, as well as reduced power consumption.

The new Trident processor also features:
•    Four overlapping helical rows of segmented, replaceable threshing elements, plus two additional rows of narrow and wide separation paddles, provide control and efficient crop flow for increased throughput and lower power requirements.
•    Three different types of easy-change concaves allow the machine to be customized from side to side for different crops and conditions.
•    A new “H” frame support linkage with spring overload protection provides optimum support of the concaves for maximum threshing. The new design also helps prevent damage by allowing the frame to expand outward so crop and foreign matter can more easily pass through.
