Recipe: Anti-parasitic Supplement for Cattle
Garfrerick uses a holistic supplement to ward off parasites.
The grass-fed cattle the Garfrericks raise are hormone and antibiotic-free.
Mix ingredients below and feed to cattle “free choice.” In other words, offer as much of the supplement as they’ll eat on an on-going basis.
10 parts kelp
5 parts white salt
1 part powdered garlic
1 part powdered wormwood
1 part powdered black walnut hulls
(There is a theory that mixing with diatomaceous earth will also help, yet Garfrerick says he hasn’t seen it make a difference.)
