PM360: Customized Preventative Maintenance
Scheduled service performed by highly trained technicians helps reduce downtime and repair costs.
In late 2010, AGCO rolled out an introductory version of the innovative PM360 preventative maintenance program. The service plan proved so successful, AGCO has decided to expand it to run all year. Now, the newly enhanced PM360, which launched March 1, allows equipment owners to customize a preventative maintenance plan to fit their machines and schedule, no matter the season.
“One of the biggest benefits I see with PM360 is we’re not constrained to a set time period,” says Jake Robinson, parts customer service manager for the Ag Division of Empire Southwest in Arizona . “Empire and our customers can utilize the program year round, which in our market helps build confidence.”
Another advantage to signing up for PM360, which offers service on most major brands of farm equipment, is that the service will be performed by AGCO technicians. As some of the best trained in the business, these specialists regularly attend classes and are kept up-to-date on the latest in equipment and techniques to provide service for a wide range of machines, from tractors and combines to sprayers, planters, and hay equipment.
With the PM360 program, equipment owners receive genuine AGCO parts. “That’s important to our customers,” says AGCO Parts Brand Manager Christine Whitfield. “When they’re in the field, our customers tell us reliability and durability are musts. AGCO parts are tested and certified to be the highest quality.”
By signing up to PM360, equipment owners will receive reminders from dealers when it’s time for service, as well as tips on how to keep their machines running their best. They’ll also receive discounts on parts.
“Preventative maintenance can happen any time of the year,” continues Robinson. “Some customers tend to delay, but when they plan their equipment maintenance, it’s no longer an issue of trying to squeeze them into what could be a very busy schedule—theirs and ours.”
Marshall Kitchen, corporate parts manager at Lang Diesel in Kansas, agrees. “Customers that use the PM360 program benefit with less downtime in season. Those that use PM360, we rarely see them during harvest.”
