The MF1526: Right-Sized Tractor
Tackle a host of small jobs in a big way.
While the MF 1526 may be the smallest tractor in Massey Ferguson’s popular 1500 Series, it’s totally “wow” on performance, features and versatility. It’s the perfect compact tractor for tackling any variety of chores found on small farms, golf courses and other midsize properties.
“The MF1526 is an all-around machine that offers power and torque to handle loader, grading or tilling projects with ease,” says Neal Generose, product marketing manager, compact and utility tractors. “At the same time,” he adds, “it has the convenient size and agility that make it a great tractor for routine weekly jobs, such as mowing with a belly mower.”
The MF1526, at 25 engine horsepower, is powered by a Tier IV emission-compliant Iseki three-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine. The three-range hydrostatic transmission has separate forward and reverse right-side foot pedals, which, says Generose, makes driving all the easier.
An electro-hydraulic independent rear PTO engages smoothly to separately manage PTO speed and ground speed for best mowing results or other tasks requiring implement power. The tractor’s category I three-point hitch also makes quick work of hooking up implements, such as tillers, rotary cutters or finish mowers. It’s not only one of the easiest tractors in its class to use, it’s also one of the most comfortable. The semi-flat, isolation-mounted platform has rubber bushings between it and the frame to reduce vibration and make the ride more relaxing. “We want the customer to enjoy the experience,” says Generose. “Many features that are standard on this tractor are only optional on competitive models.”
