Continuing its multi-million-dollar investment in its parts and service network, AGCO recently opened a new Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Visalia, California. The 53,000-square-foot facility will also house a new regional training center to help instruct AGCO corporate and dealership personnel on the latest in equipment care and related technologies. The PDC was relocated from Stockton to Visalia to be closer to a UPS shipping hub. Such proximity will enable one-day shipping to 98% of AGCO dealers within the state, as well as provide faster delivery than previously available to dealers in the other 10 states served by the new facility. The new PDC is also 33% larger than the previous location, allowing for a larger inventory, including more parts specific to the needs of producers in the surrounding region.

“Relocating the PDC to Visalia has certainly shortened delivery time,” says Joe DiPietro, vice president and general manager, AGCO Parts Americas. “Also, the larger facility allows us to keep even more parts on hand. Of course, this helps our dealers provide even better service to their customers, getting the right parts at the right time and ensuring increased uptime for equipment in the field.”

“Hosting training so close to our dealers in this region,” says Kent Butler, AGCO’s vice president of technical services and support, “will help them reduce travel time and costs, and minimize lost production time. The new Visalia PDC and training facility is just one example of our intensive efforts to help ensure the success of our dealers.” —Richard Banks
