Producers continue to seek the means by which they can decrease inputs and increase output. Featuring a class-leading combination of power and efficiency, as well as comfort, ease of use and data-crunching connectivity, the new Challenger MT700 Series of track tractors serves just that kind of results-oriented focus.
Power and Productivity. Together, the MT700 Series’ AGCO Power™ 9.8L diesel engines and Challenger Accu-VT™ continuously variable transmission team up to produce exceptionally efficient “high-torque, low-speed” operation. Such an innovation allows these next-generation tractors to run in the maximum torque range, while delivering low fuel consumption to help increase productivity and reduce costs.
“Today’s producers demand more than just power and flotation from their track tractors,” says Josh Keeney, tactical marketing manager at AGCO. “The MT700 Series has been designed using the AccuEngineering™ platform.
“Not only does this platform allow for the tractor to run in the peak torque range of 1,200 to 1,600 rpm, but it does so more efficiently with less engine wear. This system also results in a quieter working environment for the operator, and the upgraded hydraulic system offers greater flow at lower engine rpm. Now,” continues Keeney, “instead of running at full throttle to meet the hydraulic needs, this groundbreaking new system allows full output at 1,700 rpm.”
A Smoother Ride. The MT700 Series tractors provide the power and traction benefits of tracks. With the addition of the MaxxRide™ integrated comfort system, however, operators will find improved ride quality without sacrificing performance.
“Operators are going to notice a significant difference in ride comfort,” says Keeney. “The MaxxRide integrated comfort system consists of oscillating midwheels, hardbar suspension and cab suspension, so operators experience great ride quality without sacrificing the in-field benefits of power, control and traction. And,” he adds, “handling at higher road speeds also has been improved.”
Technology Tools. New productivity tools also enhance the performance of these new MT700 models. For instance, the new 10.4-inch AccuTerminal™ monitor has an intuitive smartphone feel, and can manage all settings and adjustments for the tractor, plus monitor and control ISOBUS 11783-compatible implements, data gathering and transfer, variable-rate applications, guidance and more.
Providing the latest in guidance, precision farming and remote-monitoring technology, each MT700 Series model can easily connect with AGCO’s entire suite of Fuse® Technologies and Fuse Connected Services. In addition, the Advantage armrest, Advantage joystick, PTO controls and conveniently color-coded keypad are all within easy reach of the operator’s fingertips, decreasing operator distractions and fatigue.
“Challenger continues to deliver production-enhancing features, increased comfort and truly useful on-board technology,” says Keeney. “It’s our goal to help producers better manage their farming businesses and increase profitability—to provide what we call ‘intelligent farming.’”
